We have used these Lurex threads both in our knitting and
hand embroidery projects and have found this to be an
extremely cost effective way to add a lovely sparkle
to our work.
There is enough lurex on this cone to knit in with yarn
for 1 - 2 whole garments ! It goes a long way. The thread
is conveniently wound on to a cone.
This Lurex thread is Metallized Polyester supported with
invisible nylon 1/69 thickness - approx 3400m per cone.
You can see here, I have added some pics of both knitted
lace we made with one strand of Lurex and one strand of
sewing cotton as well as some embroidery.
